📖

Mortgage Glossary

40 terms across 5 categories. Search and filter as you learn.

Weekly Check-ins

5-min Friday catch-up with Jas to flag wins and gaps.

👨‍🎓 For New Starters Jordyn & Nigel

Day 1 — 10 min
Open your Onboarding Hub link from Edwina. Bookmark it in Chrome so you can open it in one click. Open the Mortgage Glossary and bookmark that too. Try the search bar — type “ROA” to test it. Switch to Cheat Sheet view and print it.
Every day
Open your Hub. Tick tasks as you complete them. Add a comment if you need more training on something. Progress saves automatically in your browser — you don’t need to press save.
Every Friday
Tick the W1 / W2 / W3 weekly boxes on the tasks you worked on that week. Fill in the Weekly Check-in row at the bottom with topics covered, confidence (1–5), and any comments before your catch-up with Jas.
As you go
When you hear a term you don’t know, open the Glossary and search for it. If it’s not there, drop it into the “Add your own terms” box on your Hub so Jas can add it to the master.
Milestone
When you finish your Trail Document Assessments target (Jordyn: 10, Nigel: 5), tell Jas. She’ll tick the “Ready for live applications” sign-off in your Hub. That’s your green light.

🤝 For Buddies Debbie & Will

Mindset
You’re the practical guide — show, don’t just tell. Your new starter learns fastest by watching you work a real file, then trying it themselves with you watching.
Walkthroughs
Sit with your new starter for the workflow walkthroughs — Stages 1–5 + Stage 6 fundamentals for Jordyn, Stages 6–10A for Nigel. Open the Hub together so they can see what’s expected before each topic.
During the session
When you cover a topic, ask them to tick it in the Hub and add a comment about how they felt. Use their comments as a conversation starter at the next session.
Flag back
If you think they need to revisit something, flag it to Jas — that’s better than rushing. Slow is smooth, smooth is fast.

🏆 For Jas (Mentor) Senior MAS

Weekly
You own the Weekly Check-in row at the bottom of each Hub. Every Friday, sit with each starter for 15–20 minutes. Look at their progress bar and comments. Sign off the week’s row.
Ready Gate
When they hit their Trail Document Assessments target (Jordyn 10 / Nigel 5), tick the “Ready for live applications” sign-off in their Hub. That’s how Edwina knows they’re cleared to pick up live files.
Glossary owner
You own the master Mortgage Glossary (40 terms across 5 categories). When a starter adds a new term in their Hub’s “Add your own terms” box, add it to the master glossary file so the whole team benefits from their question.
Escalation
If a starter is stuck on the same topic for two weeks running, loop in Edwina. That’s a signal to adjust the pace, not a performance issue.

🔧 Troubleshooting & FAQ For everyone

I closed the browser — did I lose my progress?

No. Everything saves to your browser automatically. Open the same link to continue.

My progress disappeared!

You probably opened the Hub from a different browser or device, or in private/incognito mode. Always use Chrome on your work laptop.

The links inside the Hub don’t work.

Open the Hub in Chrome from your synced OneDrive folder, not from the SharePoint preview pane.

The Glossary link from my Hub goes nowhere.

The Glossary file needs to be in the same folder as your Hub. Ask Edwina to check.

I want to share my progress with Jas without showing my screen.

Click “↓ Export CSV” at the top of your Hub — it generates a clean spreadsheet you can email.

I want a paper copy of the Glossary.

In the Glossary, click “Print Cheat Sheet”. Prints in about 2 pages.
